Today could not be more different than yesterday. Yesterday was hot and extremely windy and dry. At 10 PM it was still somewhat windy and definitely hot. But at 6 AM today the sky was slate gray with very low cloud, and much cooler. Rain was predicted. My intent was to drive north on 395 and stay in Lee Vining, near Mono Lake, for one night and shoot someplace on the lakeshore at sunset and then sunrise. Driving further south to get away from the rain wasn't a possibility, so I just drove north to see what happened. Well, what happened was rain and cold, and lots of both. I don't think it got out of the 40s until almost Carson City, and it rained most of the drive. The rain was quite intense at times, and there was even wet snow above 8000 feet.

So the only photos today are from the "Awwww" department... just south of Bishop CA.

They all looked happy. Especially happy they aren't cows.

Will go back to Mono Lake another time.
